As a chef and holistic health counselor,
I’m a strong advocate of eating organic and local foods and leading a healthy lifestyle. I became a health counselor to fulfill my growing passion of working with children and families to improve their health and to make a positive impact on their lives, perhaps a result of raising four children of my own.
With a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Columbia University, I subsequently completed a Diploma in Culinary Arts from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York. From there I went on to open an organic catering business in Greenwich Connecticut called Tiffin Organic Dinner Delivery Service. I later received my training as a Health Counselor at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition®, and completed certification in Food Therapy at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York. During a recent stay in Singapore, I took courses in Traditional Chinese Medicine, including Acupressure and Emotional Freedom Technique, therapies that I hope to explore more.
Currently, I’m continuing my studies in holistic health and expanding my knowledge of the complex relationship between food and health.
I’d love to help you achieve a healthy balance in your life.
In addition to offering nutrition and health counseling to individuals and groups, I also teach cooking classes and hold workshops on eating for optimal health. By working together, we can discover food and lifestyle choices that best support your health so that you may lead your life to its fullest.
